We are experienced in photographing weddings, and have worked on a wide range of weddings. We are fully insured and offer you either six or eight hours coverage on the day depending on the package you choose. Below are details of a typical wedding process (this does vary wedding to wedding and we are very flexible regarding how we work so if this doesn't sound like your wedding, let us know and we will do our best to tailor our services to you.)
From your initial enquiry, we will arrange to meet you for a consultation where we will show you sample albums and some print portfolio. These meetings are no-obligation but give you the chance to discuss requirements face to face and get to know us. If you choose to book with us we require a non-refundable deposit of 25% which secures your date. After booking we will arrange to meet you around ten days before the wedding date to go through your requirements in more detail.
Jennifer attends bridal preparations around one and a half hours before the bride is due to leave for the ceremony. If the groom requests preparation photography, Matthew will be with the groom. (If not, he attends the bridal prep.) During this time detail shots are taken (dress details, rings, flowers, shoes, jewellery,) and shots of the bride getting ready. Jennifer leaves before the bride to make sure she is at the venue in time for the bride arriving. Where possible both Jennifer and Matthew are present during the ceremony, with Matthew at the front and Jennifer at the back, photographing down the aisle from the back of the room. (This depends entirely on the vicar/registrar etc and the size of the room, however it is rare that we are not both allowed in the room.) When the ceremony ends we photograph the staged register signing with the two of you and then witnesses if you wish.
After the ceremony we take some candid shots where possible whilst you talk to your guests, and then we move onto group shots. We always expect group shots to be included in the requirements but be aware that these can take up a lot of the time so it may be wise to budget for this if you want lots of group shots. Once the groups are finished, we take the two of you away on your own for your couples shots and some shots of the bride on her own as we find people are more relaxed about this if there isn’t an audience! Couples shots usually include a staged cake cutting and any ring shots you would like. After the couples shots you rejoin your guests and we photograph the decorations and details and then more candids of your guests where possible.
It usually takes us up to two weeks to process the images and get them online for you. Obviously this depends on how many pictures we have taken and the time of year (we are busier in the summer months and can occasionally develop a backlog.) We edit every single image before you see them so that they look fantastic for you and they are then uploaded to your own personal web gallery. Album design can take ten to fourteen days, and once you have approved the design we send it off to the printers where it is usually back within four to five weeks.
